Music

I love to sing. I am very grateful that I've been given the ability to sing. Throughout my life, I've enjoyed time on stage and I've loved every moment I've spent before audiences, performing. This is the moment when I feel in my purest form. I become someone different on stage, someone who could do anything. I am music.

I hope that I may continue to perform. There are so many wonderful shows to explore.

2014
A Month of Sundays
The Shepparton Theatre Group, February 2014
An intimate cabaret show held for four consecutive Sundays in the month of February brought a variety of musical numbers to its audience, from celebrated Broadway songs to obscure, modern musicals. It will be an honour to sing in Shepparton alongside Jan Deane, Matt Dowling and Shoshanna Griffin.

2013
Wodonga Carols by Candlelight

Wodonga Council and Wodonga Brass Band, December 2013
As part of this year's cast, I sang "Joy to the World" with the Wodonga Brass Band, led by Bruce Cook. The event took place in Willow Park and hundreds of people attended.

Everybody Dance Now Festival
Wodonga Council, December 2013
Selected by Wodonga Council, I taught salsa lessons to a lovely public. Then I performed at The Cafe Grove where I taught salsa and sang for the public, most of which danced the night away. It was a great pleasure to perform songs by Marc Anthony, Ruben Blades, and Jerry Rivera.

Noches de Candela
Rubix Cafe at The Cube, July and September 2013
I shared my passion for Spanish music in an intimate venue as I performed in this cabaret show. Together with salsa lessons, these shows featured the music of Hector LaVoe, Shakira, Marc Anthony, Luis Miguel, and Tizziano Ferro. Darby Quinlivan, Rebecca Simmons, Shoshanna Griffin, and Luisa Helena joined me in making this event a success.

Broadway Unplugged
The Albury Wodonga Theatre Company, August 2013
As part of this show I sang "Suddenly Seymour" from Little Shop of Horrors and "Do Re Mi" from The Sound of Music as a soloist. It was wonderful to learn new songs, such as "And They're Off!" from A New Brain and "Anthem" from Chess, singing as part of an ensemble. The show, held at The Cube, aimed to present new musicals to the audience as well as celebrate popular musicals.

The Sound of Music
The Albury Wodonga Theatre Company, April 2013
I played Sister Margaretta, one of the nuns who stands up for Maria when the Mother Superior is considering Maria's future in the abbey. "How do you solve a problem like Maria?" is a question I ask along with the other nuns. Towards the end of the story, I help Maria escape from the Nazi soldiers who have chased her to the abbey by tampering with their car. "I have sinned," I tell the Mother Superior even as I produce parts of the Nazi's car. I enjoyed every second I spent on stage during this performance, and adored the friendships built during the making of this show. Sold old performances and a massive standing ovation on closing night made this an unforgettable memory.

2012
Spelling Bee
Livid Productions, 2012
An incredibly quirky musical, Spelling Bee explores the world of people who are different, people who struggle to fit in. In this musical, I played Rona Lisa Peretti, a stoic woman who runs her town's annual spelling competition. She pours her heart into this event, micro managing every detail. Spelling is part of who she is, and her high standards keep any emotion at bay. Imagine her response when the spelling contestants pour their heart during the competition, each one airing the daily problems students face. Lovers of words and language, the students are the object of ridicule, neglect, and derision. Playing this part required that I push myself into new frontiers, for which I will always be grateful. It was my first major role, a fact that will remain dear in my heart for years to come.

Creatures
The Albury Wodonga Theatre Company, 2012
What an opportunity, to be part of the making of a show that's never been released. You are part of the very first cast, the very first choreography. You sing those songs for the first time, and you bring life to new characters. Everyone should experience such an opportunity. Cast as one of a pair of whimsical and wicked trickster creatures, I tormented Vincent, a young man suddenly stuck in an underworld of shadows and death. Vincent tries to understand mortality even as he watches as his girlfriend is consumed by sadness. This musical allowed me to explore different aspects of my abilities, as I tried to shape sensuality and wickeness together to express the anger, loneliness, and despair felt by creatures stuck somewhere between life and death.

The Symphony of Life
2012
People who battle with cancer hold a very important part of my heart. This show allowed me to share the story of cancer patients and survivors. As part of the choir, and with a small scene in which I rowed an invisible dragon boat, I enjoyed being part of a show that stood behind a significant cause.

Albury Carols by Candlelight
Albury Council, December 2012
My second year as a soloist in this event, singing "Good King Wenceslas," "Do you Hear What I Hear?" and "I'll be Home for Christmas." This year, my friends and family listened to me sing live via the radio and this made the event even dearer. A lovely experience.

2011

Albury Carols by Candlelight
Albury Council, December 2011
My first year performing as a soloist at QE II Square in front of a crowd of over 6,000 people. I felt very proud to open the show with "Feliz Navidad," a song composed by Puertorrican singer Feliciano. I also sang "Oh, Holy Night" in the later part of the show. A dream come true, I enjoyed every moment.

Miss Saigon
The Albury Wodonga Theatre Company, October 2011
My first time in a Broadway musical, I played Ivette and was part of the ensemble. Building this show was an incredible experience as war and emotion blended with beautiful music. It was my first time performing in front of such a large crowd at the Albury Entertainment Centre.
